Oktoberfest for Teens

Willkommen, Teen Travelers for an evening of Bavarian music and treats, while you paint you own nutcracker! Beginning in the 18th century, the nutcracker in German homes was a symbol of good luck, and it was typical to have one tiny soldier on the mantle to protect the property and its household. So, join us at the Franklin Library and celebrate this decades-long tradition with a beloved little German icon.

  • Date: Tuesday, October 1
  • Time: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Location: Franklin

Día de los Muertos Fiesta

Hola, Teen Travelers! It's time for a fiesta! The main tradition for Day of the Dead sees families gather to honor and remember their loved ones who are no longer with us. Celebrated as a joyous occasion, there is food, flowers, family visits, and fun stories of those who passed. So, come to the Springboro Library for this twist on the typical Halloween party, for an evening of music, treats, games, and more!

  • Date: Friday, November 1
  • Time: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Location: Springboro

Friends and Family Board Game Night

We had so much fun last year, we wanted to do it again! Come to the Franklin Library to get away from the screens, and play some good old-fashioned board games. This is a teen program, so someone in the group must be 11-18 years old, but bring as many friends and family as you want. And don't forget to bring a little competitive spirit, because we will have a variety of games for you to play. Games, food, and snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own games as well.

  • Date: Tuesday, November 26
  • Time: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Franklin
  • Registration is NOT required

Around the World in Two Hours

This year the Teen Travelers have been all over the world! From China, Ireland, and India, to Italy, France, and Norway, and finally to Germany and Mexico. We tasted some interesting foods, listened to different music, and created some wonderful souvenirs. So, come to the Springboro Library and celebrate our travels by getting out all of our past crafts and some favorite snacks. If you couldn't make it to a destination, now is your chance to experience it!

  • Date: Friday, December 13
  • Time: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Location: Springboro
