Registration is required for all programs unless otherwise noted, and are open to teens, ages 11-18.
 

Business Battle with JA
Registration begins on June 1. 

Join us for a four day camp with Junior Achievement of Middletown and find out if you have what it takes to be a business tycoon! Starting Monday, July 14th, you will enter into this business crash course where you’ll learn about the basics of operating a business, come up with your own twist on the traditional lemonade stand, and then compete against your friends to find out who has what it takes to be the library’s best seller! J

Poetry Party
Registration begins on June 1.

Sylvia Plath, Ocean Vuong, Walt Whitman, and now… YOU! Join us for our Poetry Party at the Franklin Branch on Thursday, July 24 to try your hand at poetry collages and find out if you have what it takes to be one of the poetry greats! Cut out words and pictures from old magazines, embellish with scrapbook paper and stickers, and let your creativity flow during this teen program. All supplies needed will be provided but feel free to bring anything you’d like to add to your collage! And don’t worry, no one will have to read their poems aloud but everyone is welcomed to do so if they’d like ☺

Back to School Crafternoon 
Registration begins on June 1.

Join us for our last summer program before school starts by coming to our Back to School Crafternoon at the Springboro Branch on Wednesday, August 6th, to say goodbye to summer and prepare for the new school year! Bring your own school supplies to decorate, make something new to hang up in your locker, or do something totally unrelated to school as we spend one last summer afternoon together. A variety of craft supplies will be provided to teens so no need to bring anything except yourself, your creativity, and whatever you want to decorate! ☺

Build a Bookworm
Registration begins on August 1. 

What’s a library without a good bookworm?! Join us at the Franklin Branch on Wednesday, September 10th, to paint rocks for a communal bookworm! During the program teens will paint a rock however they see fit and then help construct a library bookworm in our front flower bed. Rocks and paint will be provided, but feel free to bring your own rock if you’d like! ☆

Candle Making
Registration begins on August 1.

No other program could hold a candle to this one! Join us for our Candle Making program on Thursday, September 25th, to make your own scented candles! Supplies for this program will be provided but if teens would like to bring anything extra to decorate their jars for their candles they are more than welcome to do so! ★

Knitting with Wooly Bully Yarn Company
Registration begins on September 1

Get into the knitty-gritty details and cultivate a new hobby during this program! Join us for this exciting collaboration with Wooly Bully Yarn Company at the Springboro Branch on Wednesday, October 15th, to learn how to knit! All supplies will be provided by the library, Wooly Bully, and the Miami Valley Knitting Guild so all teens need to bring is themselves and their desire to learn. ☆

Carving and Candy
Registration begins on September 1.

Spooky, Scary… PUMPKINS? Join us at the Franklin Branch on Wednesday, October 29th, for our Carving and Candy program! Teens will have the chance to carve pumpkins, snack on candy, and watch Halloweentown together to get into the Halloween Spirit. All supplies will be provided but feel free to bring extra snacks for yourself for the movie! Ѽ

If You Give a Teen a Cookie
Registration begins on October 1.

If you give a teen some cookie dough, they’ll probably ask for more. Good thing for them they can make more at our edible cookie dough program! Join us at the Springboro Branch on Wednesday, November 12th, to make edible cookie dough with all your favorite mix ins. All supplies will be provided so no need to bring anything except for a sweet tooth! ☆
