The Franklin-Springboro Public Library is hosting their summer reading program, “Adventure Begins at Your Library”, from May 20 through July 20. The summer reading program has been a staple of the library for many years, with kids, teens, and adults reading for prizes of all kinds. Kids are treated to several stages of prizes with the reading program, teens are given the opportunity to win free tickets to King’s Island as well as grand prizes, a choice of camping gear, ghost hunting equipment, and an action/adventure prize pack. Adults are automatically entered to win a complete set of food preservation items, a set including a food dehydrator, water bath canner, and a pressure canner.
The summer reading program at the library has a significant impact each year at the library. In May, the library had a circulation of 45,300 books and over 250 patrons signing up for new library cards in the Franklin, Carlisle and Springboro areas.
